Urban Sign Factory manufactures signage to your specific requirements. Because every order is custom, our refund policy is strict — please read carefully before placing an order.
1. No refunds for custom-manufactured signage
We do not offer refunds on custom-manufactured signage once production has commenced. Custom signage cannot be resold to other clients, so all advance payments become non-refundable from the moment we begin material procurement and fabrication.
2. When refunds DO apply
Refunds are available only in the following limited circumstances:
- Manufacturing defect — if the signage delivered does not match the approved final mock-up in material, dimensions or colour beyond the standard ±2% tolerance, we will at our option (a) re-manufacture the affected piece at no cost, or (b) refund the proportional amount within 14 working days.
- Order cancelled before production starts — if you cancel within 24 hours of paying advance and before we have ordered materials or begun design, we refund the advance after deducting a 10% admin/processing fee.
- Failure to deliver — if we are unable to deliver due to circumstances entirely on our end (not force majeure), we refund the advance in full plus a 5% goodwill credit on a future order.
- Duplicate payment — if you accidentally pay twice for the same invoice, the duplicate payment is refunded in full within 7 working days of intimation.
3. What is not covered
We do not refund for: (a) change of mind after production starts, (b) sign damage during your own handling/installation if you opted to install yourself, (c) damage from voltage fluctuations, vandalism, accidents, or natural disasters, (d) variations within the standard ±2% manufacturing tolerance, (e) wear and tear over time.
4. Refund process
To request a refund, email info@urbansignfactory.com within 7 days of delivery with: (1) your order number, (2) photographs of the defect, (3) approved mock-up for comparison, (4) your bank account / UPI details for the refund. Our quality team will inspect on-site or via video call within 7 working days and respond with a decision.
5. Refund timeline
Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days via the original payment method. UPI / NEFT refunds typically reflect within 3 working days; credit card refunds may take up to 14 working days depending on your card issuer.
6. Replacement preferred
For genuine manufacturing defects we strongly prefer to replace or rectify the affected piece — replacement is faster than a refund + new order, and ensures you get the signage you wanted.
7. Disputes
If you disagree with our decision, you may escalate via written letter to the Patna head office. Unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Patna courts.
