Because all signage we manufacture is built to your specifications, our return policy is closely tied to our Refund Policy. This page explains the practical process for returning defective signage.
1. When you can return
You may return signage to us only in the following situations: (a) confirmed manufacturing defect outside the standard ±2% tolerance, (b) wrong item delivered (different design from the approved mock-up), (c) component failure under warranty within the warranty period (1 year for LED, 12 months for structural).
2. When return is NOT accepted
We do not accept returns for: change of mind, dimensional variations within ±2% tolerance, customer-damage during handling, voltage / weather / vandalism damage, or signage installed and used for more than 30 days without a defect report.
3. Inspection first, return second
Before any signage is returned, our quality team will inspect on-site (in Patna and surrounding districts) or remotely via video call (PAN-India). If a defect is confirmed and the signage is below 100 kg / 8 ft we may collect for return; larger pieces are typically rectified or replaced on-site.
4. Return process
- Email info@urbansignfactory.com with order number and defect photographs within 7 days of delivery (or within warranty period for LED/component failures).
- We respond within 2 working days with an inspection slot.
- After inspection, we issue a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) if the return is approved.
- Pack the signage in its original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging) and ship to our Patna facility — for valid manufacturing defects we cover return shipping.
- On receipt and verification (typically 3 working days) we proceed with replacement or refund as per our Refund Policy.
5. Replacement timeline
Replacement signage is manufactured on priority and typically dispatched within 5-7 working days of approving the return. Larger or fully custom pieces may take 10-15 working days.
6. Cost responsibility
For confirmed manufacturing defects: we bear all return shipping, replacement and re-installation costs. For change-of-mind or non-defect cases: returns are not accepted. For warranty replacements: we cover the component cost; you bear local labour for de-install/re-install if outside our installation network.
